What is IOL USSD?
If you are unable to browse the web on your phone, IOL USSD is for you.
Unstructured Supplementary Services Data (USSD) technology allows you to browse text menus and find a wealth of information and entertainment on your phone, simply by dialling *120*IOL#
- All you need is a cellphone - no Internet connection required.
- Hassle free - just dial *120*IOL# (*120*465#) and start browsing.
- Low cost - Vodacom and MTN offer two options: either R1,50 per minute or an ongoing subscription of R5,00 per week for unlimited access at 60c per minute (Cell C will be coming soon!).
- User-friendly menus - you don't have to remember keywords to access the information you want.

How to use IOL USSD
USSD works on a basis of the following process:
- Dial a service code (*120*IOL#)
- View the menu given (scroll down to view more information)
- Press the answer/reply key as displayed on the screen
- Input your menu selection
- Press the send/reply key as displayed on the screen
- The next menu or information requested will be displayed on your screen
However, each handset functions slightly differently, so experiment with the above instructions if necessary.
Step by step

Press *120*465# followed by the Call button.

Read through the list of options (Scroll down for further categories).
Remember the number of your choice.
Press the Answer button.

Key in the number of your desired option and hit Send.

Choose your city (Scroll down for more available regions).
Remember the number of your choice and press the Answer button.

Key in the number of your chosen city and hit Send.

Today's weather appears on your screen (if you require more than the daily forecast, scroll down on the phone for more options).
Remember the number of your choice and press the Answer button.

To return to the main menu at any time, press Answer followed by the # key.
Press Send to return to the main menu.
